Sustainability

As a sustainable business, 351T of materials containing Palm is from Mass Balanced sources whilst it's also RSPO certified. Across the 3 sites at Alton, Kirkham and Morecambe, ALL our electricity is from a renewable source.

Waste

Waste

As part of Laleham Health & Beauty, across the 3 sites, 44% of our annual waste is used to generate electricity, whilst we also recycle 754 tonnes of waste a year.

Environment

Environment

Our continued efforts mean that by recycling 30,000 pallets a year we have saved 7,500 trees being felled for timber. In addition we recycle our label backing paper and on average in one month alone we have reduced our CO₂ emissions by 4 tonnes.

Recycle Ready Laminates

As the world and plastic-free movement evolves, at Design Plus we understand how important it is for our customers to meet the demands of the fast-paced health and beauty industry. We've been working with a number of our suppliers and partners on developing a recycle-ready, more sustainable laminate, which is exclusive to Design Plus. We hope to have all testing completed by the end of 2021, with the aim to roll out the new laminate type to our customers in 2022. This is perfect for single-use products and sampling.
